The nervousness was raised!! The day was spent together with all of the Design Engineers at ICOMP and just after lunch we were going to present our master thesis.
The morning went by in a hurry with interesting topics and discussions. The lunch become hectic, we had to take the dogs for a walk, eat and prepare the prototypes.
The presentation went well, we both were nervous but it was really fun to show and let our colleagues test our prototypes. We were pleased and it felt like they also were happy with the results.
After the presentation our supervisors handed over a diploma and an engraved gift basket in true IKEA spirit to each of us. It was a really kind gesture and we both got very moved by their words. We were sooo grateful just to be given the opportunity to accomplish our master thesis at ICOMP, the experience the work has given us and the fabulous people we have met.
It was really fun to view the faces of our colleagues when the re-organization was presented. We were two of the “new faces”!! =) But we hadn’t officially said yes yet….!
During the coffee-break, we sat down with our boss and gave him our finial answers….. YES! We both wanted to become Design Engineers juniors at ICOMP! We shook hands and went to join our colleague! In the end of the meeting our boss announced that we had said yes to the job-offers and we got applause and hugs from our colleagues!! It was many smiling faces and we felt like we were living the dream…. =)
Next time we enter ICOMP, we are Design Engineer juniors and really a part of the team!! It felt great! =)
