The responsibility of Material Area Steel is to be the IKEA commercial and technical competence centre for Stainless steel raw material.
MA steel is working close to primarily Asian stainless steel mills with material development projects. MA Stainless works together with the steel mills to develop property adaptations on the raw material which meets the end users (IKEA suppliers) demands in the production of IKEA stainless articles.
Our contribution to IKEA shall contain:
- Cost of raw material well below market price over time.
- Secure IWAY, GHP backwards in the value system.
- he right quality for the right application.
- Follow stainless raw material development and suggest substitution that gives IKEA an advantage.
- Be a source for market intelligence.
